What’s in my carry on bag?

So i take 2 bags – 1 larger bag and 1 smaller over the shoulder bag with my more important things inside. When getting onto the plane I take out the smaller bag and put in under the seat in front of where I will be sitting and I then place the larger bag in the over head locker.

If you wanted to know my larger bag is a Jack Wills cylinder sports bag which is the perfect size for a 3 day trip or hand luggage for a long journey. My smaller bag is a ‘Nica’ bag from John Lewis which my mum got me to replace a bag similar to it which is falling apart (thanks mum).

Okay so what do I have in each bag? -I’ll start with my larger bag (if I have a bag in the hold all my clothes and shoes and other stuff is in there!)

  • Spare change of clothes – just incase anything goes pear shaped and my hold luggage maybe getting misplaced by the airline (which hasn’t ever happened to me but you know, just incase)
  • My camera – just purely because if i know it is with me i know it won’t get damaged.
  • Toiletries – face wipes, moisturiser, deodorant, toothpaste and toothbrush and some mascara. I take these with me on the plane as my skin can get a little dry, so incase it get dry on the plane I take my wipes and moisturiser with me. If I have an early morning flight I only put on mascara to make me look a little more alive (I’m not a morning person) and toothpaste and toothbrush to stop the hassle of opening up my suitcase. And my ‘ouch’ tin which has plasters, paracetamol and hair grips in – it’s just a necessity.
  • Food – well who doesn’t! I always have sweets, chewing gum and breakfast bars. The sweets and chewing gum are to help me through out the flight with the air pressure. I take breakfast bars just for a little snack on the plane rather than paying £2.50 for an equivalent!

Okay onto my smaller bag – this contains all of my important things which includes..

  • Passport and boarding pass – I have these in my handbag rather, as it is easy to access when going from security and boarding.
  • iPad mini – I download my TV show episodes and films which I am watching at the time, it helps me kill time in the airport and on the plane – rather than watching people (which is quite interesting)
  • Purse – purely because I always get a boots meal deal in the airport! And it’s always good to have a little cash on you incase of emergency.
  • 2 phones – my iPhone 5s and a £10 samsung phone which has a pre paid international sim in it rather than paying over the odds on my iPhone 5s contract to send a text or call.
  • Headphones – the most important, I like to zone everything out, be it with music or downloaded TV episodes. It’s a nightmare if I don’t have them because then I can’t listen to anything!

So that’s what I take, it might be a little bonkers to some but its normal to me. Not going to lie, my hand luggage is never really organised but I always know where everything is.

Hope it helps some of you not knowing what to take!
